If you’re planning the island getaway — whether with the rest of the family in tow, as a romantic escape for you and your beloved, or as a treat for yourself — look no further than The Bahamas. With more than 700 islands and cays, its 16 major islands are home to a plethora of resorts, hotels, guest houses, and clear seas that attract divers, snorkelers, fishing fans, and beach lovers to their shores all year long. Depending on where you visit, you’ll find a ton of unique things to do on your next Bahamas vacation, like swimming with pigs on Great Exuma Island, spending the day exploring Iguana Island, checking out beautiful underwater caves, and enjoying just about every water sport imaginable, just to name a few. Of course, another favorite “sport” is relaxing in a lounge chair by the pool or on a white-sand beach.

A stay at one of the Bahamas’ all-inclusive resorts makes it easy to enjoy all your favorite activities without having to reach for cash at every turn or face a surprise when you check out. Most meals, drinks, activities, and amenities are included, so it’s easy to budget for your Bahamas vacation, knowing the cost of your trip before you go.

To help you start planning your next great beach vacation, we’ve picked out some of the best all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas.

Kamalame Cay

Combine fine dining and luxury accommodations with private island vibes at Kamalame Cay, a stunning all-inclusive resort located on a 96-acre cay near the Andros Great Barrier Reef. Spend your days strolling along deserted beaches, being pampered in the overwater spa, or taking on all your favorite water sports — sea kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, and diving — and your nights enjoying seasonal dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Later, retreat to one of the resort’s 22 rooms and suites, a mix of oceanside cottages, bungalows, and Balinese-style beach houses. Note that while this property is not an all-inclusive resort in the traditional sense, you can still opt into the Guest of House all-inclusive package for an additional fee per day, which would include all meals, snacks, and beverages (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) in addition to the daily breakfast that’s already included with the standard resort rate.

Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan

Spacious rooms, four restaurants, premium beverages, entertainment, gratuities, and taxes are included at this swanky all-inclusive resort on Grand Bahama Island. Dining options ranging from classic Bahamian dishes to flavors of the Mediterranean and Pacific Rim offer quality and variety. Guests can enjoy world-class fishing, biking, birdwatching, dolphin encounters, and water sports, among other activities. Golf at the Reef Course, a championship layout designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is included as well.

Sandals Emerald Bay

This adults-only resort is set on 500 tropical acres along a mile-long beach on Great Exuma Island. Three pools, including one with a fire pit in the middle, 11 restaurants, and water sports provide plenty to do, while room rates at a variety of levels include three meals, snacks, unlimited premium liquors, convenient round-trip airport transfers, taxes, gratuities, and WiFi, among other perks. Unlimited golf at the oceanside Greg Norman-designed Emerald Bay Golf Course is also included.

Sandals Royal Bahamian

Guest rooms and suites renovated in 2022, 10 restaurants and two food trucks in the Coconut Grove, and access to the private off-shore island Sandals Barefoot Cay make a stay at Sandals Royal Bahamian an exciting all-inclusive experience. The room rate includes three meals, snacks, unlimited premium liquors, round-trip airport transportation, water sports, entertainment, tips, taxes, and gratuities, among other amenities. Certain swim-up suites also come with additional perks, such as butler service and VIP airport transfers in a Rolls Royce or Mercedes Benz.

Breezes Resort & Spa Bahamas

Set on the white sands of Cable Beach, located near Nassau on New Providence Island, Breezes Bahamas boasts three pools overlooking the beach, including two pools, one of which features a swim-up bar. Guest room views range from tropical gardens to oceanfront vistas with some rooms just steps from the sand. Dining options include local favorites along with Italian and Asian fusion cuisine. Sway in a beachfront hammock, paddle a kayak, or indulge in a treatment at the seaside spa.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach

Located on the southern coast of Grand Bahama Island, Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach is set on 26 acres of golden sand, lush foliage, and natural wildlife. Guest rooms feature balconies or terraces with breathtaking views, and the all-inclusive rate covers all meals, cocktails, wines, nightly entertainment, themed parties, and yoga classes, as well as activities including kayaking, snorkeling, and oceanfront trapeze classes. For kids, there’s a mini-disco and the Viva Vivito’s Club.

Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island

This adults-only resort features two pools, one with a swim-up bar, as well as reserved beach areas with seaside hammocks. Enjoy the variety of restaurants, including a patisserie, an ice cream parlor, and al-fresco dining. Beach volleyball, windsurfing, diving, and kayaking are available, and guests have the opportunity to swim with dolphins off Salt Cay Island. The Renova Spa offers a sauna, whirlpool bath, and a number of treatments.

Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas

This adults-only all-inclusive resort on the south shore of Paradise Island — just off the coast of Nassau on New Providence Island — features a private harbor and swimming pool, five dining venues, a white-sand beach, and convenient access to the Atlantis Paradise Island Casino. Entertainment at Junkanoo Beat includes dance shows, movie nights, live performances, and music. Relax at Amber Spa with a seaside treatment or therapy of your choice. Dine on local Bahamian specialties with views of Nassau Harbour at Edgewater Grill or choose from several other on-site restaurants or casual poolside fare.

Small Hope Bay Lodge

On Andros Island, beachfront cabins hand-built in the 1960s are decorated with local artwork, handmade furniture, and batik fabrics, showcasing the resort’s natural beauty and surroundings. Snorkel and dive with experienced divemasters, take a fishing excursion, explore the area by kayak or motorboat, or just relax in a hammock or hot tub on the beach. Dine at the lodge on fresh-caught lobster and fish or enjoy Caribbean or international cuisine. There’s a kids’ menu, nightly cocktail hour, and a full open bar.

Fowl Cay Resort

Fowl Cay Resort lets guests live the best of both worlds — they can vacation in a remote island paradise while still having access to world-class amenities like luxury one, two, and three-bedroom villas (just six on the entire cay), fully-stocked kitchens, and access to both a golf cart and private motorboat to help you get around the island. After a long day on the water (or taking it easy in your oceanfront villa), head to Hill House restaurant and pub for incredible views of the central Exumas at sunset and some delicious locally sourced seafood. “Don’t miss daily cocktail hour — the restaurant has beautiful sunset views,” said T+L editorial director Nina Ruggiero after a 2017 stay.

Club Med Columbus Isle

For the ultimate off-the-radar all-inclusive getaway, head to Club Med Columbus Isle, located on San Salvador Island. Reopened in October 2022 after a year of renovations, the resort is ready to welcome back guests to its brightly colored bungalows and upscale restaurants and lounges. Take advantage of its remote location and indulge in snorkeling and diving, or give sailing or windsurfing a try. Landlubbers, meanwhile, can get in on yoga and fitness classes, hone their tennis skills, or hit the spa.
