C'est l\u00e0 que, entre la mi-janvier et la fin mars, des milliers de baleines \u00e0 bosse de l'Atlantique Nord se rassemblent pour la saison des amours et de la reproduction dans le climat doux de la p\u00e9ninsule de Saman\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vivaresortsbywyndham.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/RepubblicaDominicana_Ballena_Jorobada_Samana_3-1024x678.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21944\" width=\"408\" height=\"270\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Pour contribuer \u00e0 la sauvegarde de ces animaux - d\u00e9clar\u00e9s esp\u00e8ces prot\u00e9g\u00e9es depuis 1966 - le gouvernement de la R\u00e9publique dominicaine a officiellement \u00e9tabli en 1986 le Sanctuaire des mammif\u00e8res marins dans la zone qui s'\u00e9tend au nord de la baie de Saman\u00e1 jusqu'aux eaux peu profondes du Banco de la Plata et de la Navidad (une zone connue sous le nom de Banc d'argent). Il s'agit de l'une des plus grandes zones marines prot\u00e9g\u00e9es de toutes les Cara\u00efbes. D'apr\u00e8s les \u00e9tudes du Centre pour la conservation et l'\u00e9co-d\u00e9veloppement de la baie de Saman\u00e1 (CEBSE), on estime qu'une population d'environ 17 000 individus, soit plus de 40 % des baleines \u00e0 bosse pr\u00e9sentes dans les oc\u00e9ans du monde, se trouve dans la zone du sanctuaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'activit\u00e9 de rep\u00e9rage <em>ballenas jorobadas<\/em> est r\u00e9glement\u00e9e et prot\u00e9g\u00e9e par le gouvernement dominicain dans le respect de la durabilit\u00e9 et des animaux : les baleines \u00e0 bosse sont en effet devenues depuis longtemps un symbole de la pr\u00e9servation de la vie dans les oc\u00e9ans.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vivaresortsbywyndham.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/RepubblicaDominicana_Ballena_MG_2169-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21941\" width=\"404\" height=\"270\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>La meilleure fa\u00e7on de profiter du plus grand spectacle animalier des \u00eeles des Cara\u00efbes et d'observer de pr\u00e8s ces doux g\u00e9ants qui atteignent pr\u00e8s de 17 m\u00e8tres de long et 40 tonnes de poids est de participer \u00e0 une excursion d'observation de la faune et de la flore. <strong>excursion en bateau<\/strong> au d\u00e9part de la baie de Saman\u00e1.
